Hon. Bashir Bolarinwa Lauds President Tinubu’s Tax Reform Bills, Calls for Constructive Engagement
Kwara State APC Chieftain and former Chairman, National Broadcasting Commission, Hon. Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa has commended President Bola Tinubu for coming out strong with the Tax Reform Bills aimed at repositioning the tax administration system in the country.
He urged those opposing the bills to take advantage of the platform directed by the President to engage the Minister of Justice, Mr. Lateef Fagbemi to present their position for amicable resolution on the matter.
Hon. Bolarinwa explained that the reform if allowed will bring about a proportionate wealth distribution, encourage the Governors to look inward and think out of the box to develop their states and by extension the regions.
He appealed to the National Assembly members to objectively study and consider the smooth passage of the bills beyond any primordial interest for the sake of the country.
The former Kwara APC State Chairman canvassed for the reform because the bills therein contain benefits for low income earners and also regulate multiple taxation which encourage goods and services providers.
