LIRS wraps up Customer Service Week with colourful cultural celebration

The Lagos State Internal Revenue Service (LIRS) has concluded this year’s Customer Service Week with a colourful celebration showcasing Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage, as staff of the agency turned out in vibrant traditional African attire.

The event, held at the agency’s headquarters, popularly known as Revenue House, featured an impressive display of diverse traditional outfits, highlighting the beauty and cultural diversity of Nigeria.

The celebration was further enlivened by a group of traditional drummers, whose performances added colour and excitement to the climax of the week-long activities.

Some customers and visitors who visited the LIRS premises during the celebration commended the agency for its role in the state’s socio-economic development, describing it as an important institution in revenue administration and public service delivery.

Customer Service Week is an annual international observance dedicated to recognising the contributions of frontline employees and support staff who serve customers daily.

It also provides organisations with an opportunity to appreciate their workforce, promote a customer-focused culture and strengthen relationships with the people they serve.

Through the celebration, LIRS joined organisations worldwide in recognising the importance of customer service and appreciating the employees whose daily efforts contribute to service delivery and customer satisfaction.
