ASGAT holds prayers for Tinubu, Hamzat, APC victory in 2027 elections
A group of Muslim clerics, known as the Al-Ulamau Support Group for Tinubu/Shettima (ASGAT), Surulere Constituency II, has organised a special prayer session for the peaceful conduct of the 2027 general elections and the victory of President Bola Tinubu, Dr. Kadri Hamzat and other candidates of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State.

The prayer session, held at the Alhaji Ganiu Shittu Memorial Mosque, Adefowope, Coker-Aguda, Surulere, was initiated by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Youth Engagement, Hon. Dare Ojepe.
During the prayer session, led by Imam Tajudeen Owode and Imam Murtada Kahwu, the group prayed to Allah to grant President Tinubu sound health, courage and wisdom to continue to steer the affairs of the country.

The Muslim clerics also prayed for continued peaceful coexistence in the country and divine intervention in the actualisation of President Tinubu’s vision for socio-economic development.
Other APC candidates for whom prayers were offered included Senator Wasiu Sanni Eshinlokun, representing Lagos Central Senatorial District; Hon. Lanre Okunlola, representing Surulere Federal Constituency II; and Damilola Ayinde Mashal, the APC candidate for Surulere Constituency II in the Lagos State House of Assembly.

The clerics also urged the chairmen of Itire-Ikate Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Femi Odunayo, and Coker-Aguda LCDA, Hon. Azeez Ogidan, not to relent in implementing people-oriented programmes for the overall benefit of residents.
According to the group, the APC would stand a better chance of securing a landslide victory in the elections if its members campaigned by highlighting their achievements in office and convincing eligible voters through their performance.
