Apex APC Leaders Host Adewale, Offer Strategic Backing Ahead of Primaries in Amuwo Odofin
Apex leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Amuwo Odofin Local Government Area have received a frontline House of Representatives aspirant, Comrade Ayodele Adewale, offering prayers and strategic guidance as the party prepares for its forthcoming primary elections.
The meeting, held on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at the Apex leaders’ secretariat in Festac Town, Lagos, was marked by goodwill, consultation, and political engagement, as party stakeholders reiterated the importance of unity and cohesion within the APC.
Comrade Adewale, who is aspiring to represent Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, used the visit to further deepen consultations with party leaders and stakeholders across the constituency.
The session was chaired by Prince Rasheed Otolorin, Chairman of the Apex body and former Executive Chairman of Amuwo Odofin Local Government, alongside Alhaja Memunat Ajao, who jointly presided over the meeting.
Several prominent party leaders were in attendance, including Chief Dotun Adegbola, Chief Mrs. Omotanwa Olusi, Chief Shajobi, Otunba Banjo Ayeni, Alhaji Libari Oseni, Chief Dayo Ariyo, Mrs. Lyndia Otejeh, Chief Aberuagba, Alhaji Okeshina, Alhaji Shanu, Alhaja Ariyo, Mrs. Francis, and Mr. Elebute Abiodun, the APC Chairman in Amuwo Odofin LGA.
Also present were former APC Chairman in the council, Mr. Ayo Ogungbiye; Mr. Ajayi; Alhaji Tijani; and Hon. Sunday Adedeji. Prince Sultan Adeniji Adele was also in attendance briefly before leaving for another engagement.
During the interaction, the leaders offered prayers for Adewale’s success and advised him to sustain grassroots engagement and continuous consultation with party members ahead of the primaries.
Responding, Adewale expressed appreciation for the reception and guidance, assuring the leaders that he would take their advice seriously. He pledged to prioritise the development of Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency through effective legislative representation, strategic lobbying, and people-oriented programmes if elected.
Adewale, a former Executive Chairman of Amuwo Odofin Local Government, also highlighted his experience within the party and broader political space. He previously served as APC Lagos State Organising Secretary and State Coordinator for the APC E-Registration Exercise, where Lagos emerged top among all states and the Federal Capital Territory.
His political and civic engagements also include roles with the Pro-National Conference Organisation (PRONACO) led by Chief Anthony Enahoro, the June 12 Coalition led by the late Dr. Beko Ransome-Kuti, and the Citizens Forum of Prof. Wole Soyinka. He also served as National Public Relations Officer of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) and President of the Lagos State University Students’ Union Government.
The meeting, stakeholders noted, reflects the growing momentum within the APC in Amuwo Odofin as aspirants intensify consultations ahead of the party’s primaries.
