ALARHOSPS SET TO HOLD 13TH SUMMIT ON SECURITY, PUBLIC SAFETY
The Association of Lagos State Retired Heads of Service and Permanent Secretaries (ALARHOSPS), is scheduled to hold its 13th Annual Summit on Tuesday, 11th and Wednesday, 12th August 2026.
The high-level summit, convened under the leadership of the President of ALARHOSPS, Otunba Nurudeen Ojira-Adeiyan, will take place at the Adeyemi Bero Auditorium, Alausa, Ikeja, starting at 9:00 a.m. daily.
With the theme, “Security: Sanctity of Lives and Safety of Property: Creating a New Norm in Lagos State,” the summit aims to foster strategic dialogue on strengthening security architecture, safeguarding lives, and protecting property in Nigeria’s most dynamic state.
The summit is being convened as part of the Association’s continued contribution to governance, public policy discourse and the development of Lagos State.
The choice of security as the focus of the summit underscores the growing importance of collective responsibility in maintaining a safe and secure environment, particularly in a rapidly growing megacity such as Lagos.
Discussions are expected to examine emerging security concerns, community participation, effective collaboration among relevant agencies and strategies for strengthening the safety and security of residents and their property.
The summit will also provide a platform for participants to share their wealth of experience in public administration and governance, while offering practical recommendations that can support the State Government’s efforts towards sustaining peace, security and socio-economic development.
As former senior public servants and custodian who contributed significantly to the administration and development of Lagos State, members of ALARHOSPS are expected to leverage their institutional knowledge and experience to enrich conversations around contemporary security challenges, providing insight and practical recommendations that will support ongoing efforts by the State Government to build a safer,more resilient Lagos.
The Association has invited relevant stakeholders and members of the public to participate in the summit and contribute to the collective search for innovative approaches towards creating a safer and more secure Lagos State.
The event is thus, expected to bring together an array of distinguished stakeholders, including current and former public office holders, security experts, policymakers, and key players from both the public and private sectors.
It will serve as a platform for experience-sharing, policy reflection, and the generation of innovative ideas to enhance security governance in Lagos State.
The summit aligns with the broader vision of the Lagos State Government to ensure a secure environment that promotes economic growth, social stability, and improved quality of life for all residents.
