OLA WESTERN FOOD FEST: A SUCCESS TO TELL

The much awaited second edition of Ola Western Food Fest has come and gone with pomp and pageantry. This year’s edition tagged: Ya Koo Yo, which was held at Hon Ola Western campaign office in Festac town, did not also go without its expected effect as over a thousand residents of Amuwo-Odofin were happy beneficiaries of free food items like live chicken, rice, yam, garri, vegetable oil, and cash gifts.

The promoter of the food fest, consumate business man and foremost philanthropist in Amuwo-Odofin, Hon. Folorunso Ola Western, in his speech, was grateful to God for the opportunity to touch lives and impact humanity. According to him, “I shall continue to contribute my noble quota to societal development and improving lives, and I am grateful to God for this opportunity to put smiles on people’s faces. This edition of Ola Western Food Fest is meant to complement the efforts of Governor Babajide Sanwo-olu’s _Ounje Eko_ Food Fest holding at strategic locations across Lagos state, only in our case, it is free. We pray for better days ahead.”

Guests at the event include the state chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, ably represented by the APC vice-chairman Lagos West, Chief Babatunde Aboyade, the executive chairman of Amuwo-Odofin LGA, Engr. (Dr.) Valentine Bruaimoh, APC LGA chairman, Mr Ayo Ogungbiye. Other guests include APC Amuwo-Odofin chapter Apex leaders, Coordinator of Christian Association of Nigeria, (CAN) Amuwo-Odofin chapter, Chief Imam of Amuwo-Odofin, etc., while beneficiaries of the food fest cut across all strata of the society.

Recall that the maiden edition of Ola Western Fest was held in December 2022, where five hundred homes were fed during the Christmas season.
