Barcelona of Spain Female Football Team forward, Asisat Oshoala has been named the 2023 Female African Footballer of the Year, reports

Oshoala defeated her closest rival, South Africa’s Thembi Kagtlana to win the award for a record extending sixth time.

She was presented with the award on Monday, 11 December, 2023, in Marakech, Morocco.

A serial record setter, Oshoala extended her record of being the first footballer, either make or female to win the African Footballer of the Year for the sixth time.
