Chairman of Yaba LCDA, kayode Omiyale sues for peace as the new Oba of Iwaya ascends the throne of his ancestors
The Chairman of Yaba LCDA, Kayode Omiyale has commended the residents of Iwaya for their peaceful conduct during the time of replacement of the new Oba of Iwaya.
He also expressed joy that the coronation of the new Oba and ascension of the throne went peacefully.
The council boss assured that said the new Oba will work closely with the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwoolu and the local government in bringing development to the area.
Mr Omiyale disclosed this at the official coronation of Oniwaya of Iwaya, Oba Sulaiman Owolabi at his Palace within the community.
According to him, Governor Sanwoolu has approved the coronation of twelve new Obas that were being coronated simultaneously across the metropolis.
On his part, the Onisabe of Igbobi-sabe, Oba Owolabi Adeniyi Adeyemi cautioned residents of Iwaya against any form of disturbance during the reign of the newly crowned Oba.
He prayed for sound health, long life for the new Oba and the entire Iwaya community.
The new King attended Oniwaya Grammar School Iwaya, Commmand Secondary School in Jo’s and later Lagos State University, LASU where he bagged B.Sc.
He is currently a Master degree student at the University of Lagos, Akoka.
