2027: Lagos Group Rallies Massive Support for Tinubu, Endorses Hamzat for Governor
President Bola Tinubu has been assured of massive grassroots support from Lagos for his re-election in 2027, with votes expected to surpass his performance in the 2023 presidential election.
A political movement known as the Renewed Hope Network, under the platform of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), also pledged to secure a landslide victory for the party’s governorship candidate in the 2027 elections.
The Lagos State Director-General of the group, Alhaji Mohammad Oyinlomo Danmole, gave the assurance during a media briefing ahead of the congregational prayer for President Bola Tinubu scheduled to hold this Sunday at the Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Onikan, Lagos.
He explained that the Renewed Hope Network is a dynamic grassroots political movement championing the re-election of President Tinubu for a second term in office, adding that the party would defeat all opposition forces in 2027.
According to him, the Renewed Hope Network (TRN) is not a conventional political organisation but a community-based mobilisation platform dedicated to grassroots networking.
The Director-General stated that the mission of the group is to directly engage ordinary Nigerians in their local languages while respecting their cultures and traditions, as well as localising the Renewed Hope Agenda in every ward, polling unit, and community across the country.
Danmole further stated that the primary objective of the movement is to mobilise strong nationwide support for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in 2027, while also promoting civic participation, national unity, political inclusion, and good governance through structured grassroots engagement.
As part of its strategic programmes, he disclosed that the Renewed Hope Network would hold a grand congregational prayer for Nigeria and President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Sunday, May 10, 2026, expected to attract over 55,000 participants from all walks of life, geopolitical zones, and faith-based organisations.
He said the forum would serve as a solemn platform for intercessory prayers for the peace, progress, and prosperity of the nation, as well as for divine guidance and strength for President Tinubu’s administration.
At the gathering, the Director-General of the Renewed Hope Network said the group would formally endorse President Bola Tinubu for a second term and Dr. Kadiri Obafemi Hamzat as the next Governor of Lagos State, citing his capacity, vision, and commitment to the development of the state.
Danmole expressed the view that President Tinubu, through the Renewed Hope Agenda, has demonstrated bold leadership through far-reaching reforms in the economy, infrastructure, education, social investment, security architecture, and national productivity.
While appealing to all well-meaning Nigerians, irrespective of tribe, religion, or political affiliation, to attend the gathering, Danmole assured that adequate arrangements had been made with the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority (LASTMA), the Police, the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), and medical teams to ensure a hitch-free event.
