The Commissioner of Police (CP), Lagos State Command, Mr. Moshood Olohundare Jimoh, has attributed the achievements recorded in policing the state to divine intervention, the effectiveness and diligence of officers and men of the command, as well as the cooperation of Lagos residents.
Playing host to a delegation of the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU), Western Zone, CP Jimoh stated that the support of Almighty God, combined with the hard work of his officers and men, has made Lagos State increasingly hostile to criminal elements.

He further highlighted the strong cooperation the command receives from members of the public, noting that residents now have greater confidence in the police and promptly alert operatives about suspicious movements and criminal activities across the state.
The CP also acknowledged the support received from the Inspector General of Police (IGP), Mr. Kayode Egbetokun, and the Governor of Lagos State, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, particularly in the provision of necessary equipment to combat crime, which he said has boosted the morale of officers and men.
While commending the IEDPU delegation from his home state for monitoring his performance and paying him a courtesy visit, CP Jimoh appealed for continued support from both residents and visitors to help make Lagos a crime-free state.
Earlier, the Zonal Chairman of IEDPU Western Zone, Dr. Musa Imoloba Owonikoko (PhD), praised CP Jimoh for making the Ilorin Emirate proud through his diligent efforts in combating crime in Lagos State.
