GRASSROOTS DEMOCRACY IN MOTION: COMRADE AYODELE ADEWALE DEEPENS CONSULTATIONS WITH APC EXECUTIVES ACROSS 7 WARDS IN ORIADE LCDA, INSPIRES RENEWED HOPE AND SOLIDARITY

In continuation of his wide-ranging consultations and strategic engagements aimed at consolidating grassroots support ahead of the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives primary election scheduled for 15th May, 2026, Comrade Prince Ayodele Adewale met with APC Local Government Area (LGA) Executives and Ward Executive Members across 7 wards in Oriade Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency.

The meeting, held in the Civil Service Club, Satellite Town, Lagos State which witnessed an impressive turnout of party executives and stakeholders, who received Comrade Adewale with warmth, enthusiasm and colourful pageantry.

The atmosphere reflected not just support, but a shared belief in progressive ideals, people-centered leadership, and the enduring power of grassroots democracy.

During the engagement, party members openly acknowledged the significant milestones recorded during Comrade Adewale’s tenure as Executive Chairman of Amuwo Odofin Local Government from 2008 to 2014.

They also commended his impactful service as Lagos State Organising Secretary of the APC, as well as his role as Lagos State Coordinator of the e-registration exercise, which positioned Lagos State as number one leading performer nationwide.

In his address, Comrade Adewale reaffirmed his commitment to purposeful, inclusive, and people-oriented representation. He emphasized the need for unity within the party and called on members to sustain their support for his candidacy as the primary election approaches, noting that true leadership is built on service, trust, and collective progress.

The meeting also took a solemn turn as Comrade Adewale informed members of the passing of his beloved mother, who has transitioned to eternal glory. In honour of her memory, a minute of silence was observed by all present, followed by Christian and Muslim prayers offered for the repose of her soul.

Speaking at the event, the Chairman of the APC in Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency, Comrade Ajakaiye, praised Comrade Adewale for his immense contributions to the development of Amuwo Odofin Local Government, the APC in Lagos State, and Nigeria at large. He offered prayers for his success at the forthcoming primary election.

Similarly, the Party Secretary, Mr. Baba D, commended Comrade Adewale’s unwavering loyalty and tireless dedication to the growth of the APC. He noted that Comrade Adewale’s political journey from his days in the student movement to his impactful tenure as Executive Chairman and his service to the party, clearly demonstrates his competence and qualification to represent Amuwo Odofin Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives.

The engagement was widely described as historic, leaving a lasting impression on all attendees and further strengthening the bond between Comrade Adewale and party faithful across Oriade LCDA.

The meeting was concluded with renewed assurances of support and a shared commitment to ensuring victory at the forthcoming primary election.

Members turned out in large numbers from far and near, particularly from the riverine communities.
