Retired Police Officer Remanded for Alleged Defilement of 17-Year-Old in Lagos
A retired police officer accused of defiling a 17-year-old girl within the Ogudu Area Command premises has been remanded in Kirikiri Correctional Facility.
The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency (DSVA) confirmed that the officer was arraigned before Magistrate Fagbohun at Court 11 on Tuesday, February 11, 2025.
The case has been adjourned to March 11, 2025, pending legal advice from the Directorate of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
In a statement signed by Adejoke Ladenegan-Oginni, Head of the Public Affairs Unit at Lago DSVA, the agency reaffirmed its commitment to justice and reiterate the Lagos State Government’s zero-tolerance for sexual violence.

UPDATE ON ALLEGATION OF DEFILEMENT BY A POLICE OFFICER
The Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency in it’s continuous fight against domestic and sexual violence hereby updates the general public that a Police Officer, now retired who was reported to have melenbe a 17-year-old girl in Ogudu Area Command Premises was arraigned before Magistrate Fagbohun, Court 11, on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 and remanded in Kirikiri Correctional Facility. The case was adjourned to March 11, 2025 pending the issuance of the Directorate of Public Prosecutions’ (DPP) legal advice.
