Lagos, the Center of Excellence, our ever-vibrant and bustling city, has been ranked as the 19th best city to visit in the world in 2024, ahead of Dubai and Miami, by Time Out, a renowned publisher of city guides and magazines.
This recognition is a testament to the remarkable transformation and development that the state has undergone in recent years, and much credit is due to the visionary leadership of our father and leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu.
During his tenure as governor, The Lion of Bourdillon laid the foundation for the modernization and growth of Lagos, earning him the title of the “Pathfinder of New Lagos.” His administration focused on improving the quality of life for all residents, and his legacy continues to shape the city’s landscape and culture.
Significant achievements were made in various aspects of city life. The development of world-class infrastructure, including road networks and public transportation systems, greatly improved mobility and connectivity within the city.
Jagaban’s successors, including former governors Babatunde Raji Fashola, Akinwunmi Ambode, and the current governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, continued the legacy of progress and development in our dear state. Their administrations contributed to making Lagos conducive for all and sundry, with a focus on Asiwaju’s blueprints.
