Masjid Muhammad Rosululah Islamic Centre, Surulere opens for public use as Speaker, Obasa calls for unity of purpose among Muslims
The Speaker, Lagos State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Mudashiru Obasa has stressed the need for unity of purpose among Muslims in order to benefit immensely from government policies and programmes.
He also thank God that some Muslims could till prioritise projects towards the cause of Allah despite the economic hardship in the country.
The Speaker stated these in a message to the opening of Masjid Muhammad Rosululah Islamic Center on Ogunlana Drive in Surulere area of the state.
Represented by a member of the House of Assembly, Hon Jubril Abdulkareem, Obasa said that Allah’s promise that those who built Masjid or support such in the world would enjoy same in the Hereafter.
His Royal Majesty, Oniru of Iru Kingdom, Oba Abdulwasiu Omogbolahan in his speech said his relationship with the owner of the building had been very cordial adding he was duly briefed when the project was about to take off.
He noted that it was rare to see a project of this nature commissioned for public use after one year saying it goes a long way to show that it was to serve Allah.
He thanked all those who supported the project in different wasy until it was inaugurated for public use.
The Oniru of Iru Kingdom expressed hope that the project will add value to the growth of Islam in the country.
The Convener of the project,
Sheikh Ahmad Al-Mukhtar described it as a platform in supporting the cause of Allah in Lagos and the country at large.
He explained that it will serve as a rallying point for Muslim Groups in Surulere and beyond in brainstorming on ideas for the progress of Islam.
The Islamic Centre which consists of Mosque, Conference rooms, office apartments is located in choice area in Surulere area of the state.
