Elo F’okan Bale, Petrol Is Not Sold At N1,200 By Hon Segun Olulade Eleniyan

I cannot believe the audacity of some people spreading false rumors about the price of petrol across the country. It is absolutely ludicrous to suggest that petrol is being sold at N1,200 per liter. Well, it can only be sold at that rate on Twitter filling stations and in the wildest imagination of the enemies of Nigeria.

Let me make it clear that the Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Ltd. has debunked the rumor, that there is no increase in the fuel pump price nationwide. Petrol still sells at a reasonable rate across the country.

It is disheartening to see detractors and enemies of the government always going on social media to promote negativities about our country. It is also disheartening to witness individuals taking to social media platforms to wish ill upon our great nation. They seem to take pleasure in spreading false information and wishing the country bad.

There are no plans for an increase in the PMS price. The idea of skyrocketing fuel costs is nothing more than a figment of the enemies of Nigeria’s wildest imagination. It’s time to put an end to the spread of misinformation.

I urge all Nigerians to disregard these unfounded rumors and not engage in panic buying. According to the NNPC, there’s presently ample availability of PMS across the country, and no imminent increase in the cost of petrol. Let’s not succumb to the unnecessary fears fueled by baseless rumors.

Instead of spreading false rumors, we should all join hands with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to move the country forward. In our collective journey towards progress, I urge every citizen to support Jagaban on his commendable and unwavering efforts to revitalize the country’s refineries for optimal oil production in no distance time. This is an obvious testament to his commitment to the welfare of the nation.

Now, more than ever, we need unity and support. Let’s rise above the divisive narratives and focus on building a stronger Nigeria. I call on every Nigerian to support the government through prayers and any other means possible. Together, we can overcome challenges and contribute to the development of our beloved country.
