THE COUNCIL MAYOR, LEGISLATIVE ARM, EXECUTIVE CABINET, NULGE AND MANAGEMENT CELEBRATES RETIREES IN IBA LOCAL COUNCIL DEVELOPMENT AREA
The Executive Chairman of Hon. Yisa Abiola Jubril (ABILA) and his team graced the celebration of the retirees in Iba Local Council Development Area held within the council secretariat.
The Council Mayor while delivering his speech appreciated the selfless service and commitment of the retirees while in service.
According to him and I quote ” What we are seeing today is life after service ever since they left the office as this should be another way of passing a short message to those still in service that we should plan on our lives after service”.
He prayed for God’s protection and intervention in the lives of the retirees as they have completed their meritorious service to the state and the Country at large.
The Council Manager Mr Babalola Micheal commended the efforts that have been put-in through out their service year and prayed they live long to enjoy the fruit if their labour (Pension).
The Director for Local Government training and Establishment Mr. Ogunshakin Irewole ably accompanied by Mrs Orija Omowunmi appreciated the retirees and advised them to take good rest and invest their pensions wisely as they need to give back to the community as they have served the public service.
The retirees were all in attendance as they are now addressed as Senior Citizens of Nigeria (SCN) ranging from the highest cader Mr Jelili Jimoh (Fmr. Council Manager) , Mr Babalola Joseph (Fmr. Legal Officer) and all colleagues whom they shared the same service year.
In attendance at the celebration of the retirees include; Hon. Yisa Abiola Jubril (Chairman, Iba LCDA), Hon. Samuel Ayodele Thomas (Vice-Chairman, Iba LCDA), Hon. Adekanbi Taiwo (SLG), and the Management team ably led by the Council Manager Mr. Babalola Micheal Oluwafemi and others.
