HON. ADETOYESE OLUSI PUT SMILES ON FACES OF ISLANDERS WITH ANOTHER BOUNTIFUL PALLIATIVE DISTRIBUTION
The Mayor of Lagos Island Local Government, Hon. Prince Tijani Adetoyese Olusi has again put smiles on the faces of residents and marketers in Lagos Island with another bountiful palliative distribution.
The program which was held at the Oluwole Car Park saw a massive turnout, and had medical experts on ground to conduct medical check-up on the recipients and administer drugs where necessary.
Supervisor for Agric/Youth and Sport, Hon. Ibrahim Omotoyosi Dawodu in his welcome address, gave kudos to the Mayor whom he described as the Man of the People, adding that the initiative has sustained lives of the people after the fuel subsidy removal.
While speaking at the event, former Lagos state Commissioner for Home Affairs, Hon. Oyinlomo Danmole appreciated the effort and consideration of Prince Adetoyese Olusi in packaging the food items at this crucial time, and barely a month after the previous distribution.
He enjoined the Mayor to endeavour to make it a regular program for the people, stating that in as much as he appreciates other infrastructure development, stomach infrastructure is paramount.
The APC Leader in Lagos Island, Alh. A. G. O. Sodiq, advised that distribution of palliatives should not be centred in one location, adding that about a week ago, relief materials also came from the state and has been distributed to the various wards/Leaders.
The Lagos Deputy Chairman APC, Hon. Moshood Mayegun in his remarks said the distribution is another landmark achievement in the administration of Hon. Adetoyese Olusi.
He assured everyone that there’s light after the tunnel, giving kudos to the Mayor for taking the bull by the horn and heeding to the call of the people.
Mayegun appealed to everyone to be patient and trust in the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration, assuring that the nation will experience new transformation very soon.
On his part, the council Chairman, Hon. Adetoyese Olusi appreciated the Royal father, HRM, Oba Rilwan Aremu Akiolu, all the elders present, the Vice Chairman, Hon. Moh’d Rosul Eshilokun whom he referred to as a loyal and dependable deputy, the Executive, Legislative and Management members for their support.
The package which contained Yam, Beans, Rice, Garri, Yam Flour, Vegetable Oil, Palm Oil, and Grounded Pepper was distributed in four different locations; Aroloya, Isale Eko, Idumota (Eyin Eyo) and Oluwole.
