President-elect Asíwájú Tinubu out of the country to undertake rest, lesser hajj

Following a report in an online newspaper alleging that the President-elect, Asíwájú Bola Tinubu, had travelled abroad on an emergency, we can confirm as follows:

.That the President-elect left the Murtala Mohammed International Airport, Ikeja for Europe on Tuesday night.

.There was no emergency whatsoever as willfully claimed by that discredited online platform.

.The President-elect decided to take a break after the campaign and election to take a little rest in Paris and London, preparatory to going to Saudi Arabia for Umrah (Lesser Hajj) and the Ramadan Fasting that begins today.

.He is expected back in the country soon.
