LAGOS DSVA HOLDS “MEN WEY SABI” AT ORISUNMBARE MODERN MARKET IDIMU
Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency has continued its sensitization at different areas in the State as it will help the Agency’s efforts to curb Gender-Based Violence in the State.
Executive Secretary of Lagos State Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency, Mrs.Titilola Vivour-Adeniyi who was represented by Mrs. Salami Kafayat, stated at the Agency’s awareness programme tagged: “Man Wey Sabi” at Orisunmbare Modern market in Idimu, said the initiative was fashioned to address Gender stereotypes
through behavioral mindset programmes, sensitizing and training of all relevant stakeholders.

Whilst underscoring the collective responsibility to empower women, she urged the society leaders, and residents to champion gender equality as these problem require a collective effort for its eradication.
She also called on men to report SGBV cases whenever they occur as the Agency is always ready to assist .
The program shines a light on men’s pivotal roles in ending domestic and sexual violence, promoting partnership in marriages.
An entertaining cooking competition, sponsored by Power Oil Nigeria Limited showcased Men’s culinary skills was part of the featured at the event.
The primary objective is to spread our message in a spirited manner, challenging stereotypes regarding men’s involvement in childcare and the essence of partnership in marriage.
The Babaloja of Orisunmbare modern market, High Chief (Prince) Yekeen Saka appreciated Gov. Sanwo-olu administration for ensuring that the society is conducive for both gender to thrive.
The winner of the cooking competition, Mr. Lawrence Idowu appreciated the agency for bringing the initiative to Orisunmbare modern market, Idimu.
