Lagos Assembly screens 10 nominees as Sanwoolu set to inaugurate cabinet this week
The Lagos State House of Assembly has commenced the screening of cabinet nominees sent to it by Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for approvals.
This platform, thenewsnow.org confirmed that 10 out of the 39 cabinet nominees appeared before the lawmakers today for the screening exercise.
There are strong indications that the Governor will inaugurate the new cabinet for the state as soon as he receives correspondence from the Speaker, Hon Mudashiru Obasa on those who scaled through the screening exercise.
During the exercise held at old chamber of the Assembly named after the former Lagos State Governor, Alhaji Lateef Jakande, one of the Nominees, Olajide Babatunde was sent out for violating house rule.
He was caught sitting during the screening which informed the decision of the lawmakers to send him out.
Others who appeared before the House of Assembly ad hoc committee include the former Special Adviser to the Governor on Education, Tokunbo wahab who was initially asked to come back tomorrow because of irregularity in his school certificate. However, he was later readmitted and did the needful.

Layode, former lawmaker from badagry answered questions from the committee during the screening exercise.
Also screed today was the immediate Special Adviser to the Governor on Central Business District, Mr Gbenga Oyerinde who represented Amuwo Odofin on the list as well as Mr Jamiu Alli-Balogun.
The screening exercise is coming after several groups including Omo Epetedo Forum, the Joint Muslims Forum, MURIC rejected the list described as not being inclusive.
Some members of the State House of Assembly have also expressed their dissatisfaction over failure of the Governor to include politicians who lost out during election or those compelled to step down in the list.
