By Raheem Ibrahim

The Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) in charge of Zone 2 Command, Moshood Oloundare Jimoh, has continued to receive widespread support over the allegations surrounding the Ajiran murder case.

The Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU), the umbrella sociocultural organisation of the people of the Ilorin Emirate in Kwara State, has declared its absolute trust in the integrity of AIG Jimoh regarding the alleged Ajiran murder case.

Speaking with our correspondent, the National President of IEDPU Worldwide, Alhaji Abdulmumini Ayo Abdulmalik, said the people of the Ilorin Emirate had been following with keen interest the allegations made against AIG Jimoh by VeryDarkMan in connection with the Ajiran murder case.

Alhaji Abdulmalik, who described the respected senior police officer as an alumnus of one of the Union’s schools, maintained that he has distinguished himself through professionalism, dedication, and an unwavering commitment to justice.

The community leader also assured the senior police officer of the prayers and support of the Emir and the people of the Ilorin Emirate.

“While the Union does not see anything wrong with anyone seeking justice, it warns against the destruction of the hard-earned reputations of innocent citizens, particularly those entrusted with the responsibility of maintaining law and order,” he said.

The IEDPU President, however, encouraged AIG Jimoh not to be discouraged by the antics of his critics but to continue discharging his responsibilities to the best of his ability.
