APC Releases Timetable for 2026 Primaries, Sets Dates for Presidential, Governorship Polls

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially released the timetable for its 2026 primary elections ahead of the forthcoming general elections.

According to an official notice dated May 13, 2026, the party outlined the schedule for the conduct of primaries into various elective offices, beginning with the House of Representatives primary election on Friday, May 15, 2026.

The Senatorial Primary Election is scheduled to hold on Monday, May 18, while the House of Assembly Primary Election will take place on Wednesday, May 20, 2026.

The Governorship Primary Election has been fixed for Thursday, May 21, 2026, while the Presidential Primary Election will be conducted on Saturday, May 23, 2026.

The party urged all aspirants, party officials, and stakeholders to strictly comply with the approved timetable and conduct themselves in line with the constitution, guidelines, and directives of the party.

The APC also reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring a transparent, peaceful, credible, and democratic primary-election process across the country.
