Oshodi-Isolo Chairman, Otunba Oloyede-Almaroof, Condemns Street Violence, Vows to Bring Perpetrators to Justice
The Executive Chairman of Oshodi-Isolo Local Government, Otunba (Dr.) Kehinde Oloyede-Almaroof, has strongly condemned the recent infighting among some unscrupulous elements bent on truncating the peace and harmony currently enjoyed within the council area.
It has come to the Chairmanβs attention that the clash reportedly stemmed from a superiority dispute among rival gangs. However, during the altercation, both public and private properties were destroyed, and innocent citizens were injured.
The Chairman wishes to inform the general public that appropriate security measures have been put in place to identify and apprehend those responsible. It is evident that these individuals are determined to wreak havoc, and it is the collective responsibility of all residents to safeguard public infrastructure and promptly report suspicious activities.
Security agencies cannot function effectively without credible information. Residents are therefore urged to provide useful information that will aid in the arrest of the culprits and prevent a recurrence of such illegal acts.
βWhen you see something, say something.β Infrastructure provided with taxpayersβ money must not be destroyed. Members of the public are encouraged to channel relevant information to the Office of the Chairman, with the assurance that all reports will be treated promptly and with the utmost confidentiality.
The Executive Chairman, in collaboration with security agencies, is fully on top of the situation. Residents are advised to remain calm and continue to go about their lawful businesses without fear.
