Conference 57 CPS Announces New Executive Leadership Team of Conference57 Chairmen

The Conference 57 Chief Press Secretaries (CPS), led by Chairman Kamaldeen Iyanda Abdulsalam, proudly announce the appointment of the executive leadership team for the Conference 57 League of Chairmen. These key appointments come in the wake of the swearing-in ceremony conducted by Governor Babajide Olusola Sanwo‑Olu on July 27, 2025, which formally inducted all 57 Chairmen of Lagos State’s Local Government Areas (LGAs) and Local Council Development Areas (LCDAs) .

2. Secretary – Usman Akanbi Hamzat (Ifako‑Ijaiye LGA)
3. Treasurer – Bamidele Yussuf Sulaiman (Surulere LGA)
4. Vice Chairman (East) – Bada Abolanle Samiat (Ikosi‑Isheri LCDA)
5. Vice Chairman (Lagos West) – Olufemi Akanbi Okeowo (Ifelodun LCDA)
6. Vice Chairman (Central) – Muibi Alade Folawiyo (Lagos‑Island East LCDA)
7. Welfare Officer – Motunrayo Gbadebo‑Alogba (Ijede LCDA)

The Conference57 CPS commended the appointees for demonstrating a commitment to professionalism, accountability, and collaborative governance, noting that the team is crucial in strengthening the bond between grassroots leadership and state-level policy objectives.

Conference 57, which comprises the chairmen of 20 LGAs and 37 LCDAs in Lagos State, serves as the principal forum for policy coordination, service delivery improvement, and dialogue between local government leadership and the state administration.

With the All Progressives Congress (APC) having secured all 57 council chairmanship seats during the July 12, 2025 elections, Governor Sanwo‑Olu tasked the newly sworn-in officials to prioritize public welfare and deliver people-oriented governance over political interests during the ceremony .
