…Pays Condolence Visit to His Family
The First Lady of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has described the late Afenifere chieftain, Chief Ayo Adebanjo, as a political leader.
She made this statement during a condolence visit to his residence in Lekki, Lagos.
Senator Tinubu expressed gratitude for the opportunity to see the elder statesman shortly before his passing. While praying for the repose of his soul, she also asked for God’s strength and comfort for his widow and family. She emphasized that, despite political differences, the late Chief Adebanjo remained family.
In his remarks, Femi Adebanjo, son of the late Afenifere leader, thanked the First Lady for her visit, describing it as heartwarming.
The First Lady also held a private meeting with the widow, Chief Mrs. Christiana Anoko Ayo Adebanjo, at the residence.
Chief Ayo Adebanjo passed away on February 14 at the age of 96.
