IGBOGBO COMMUNITY UNITES IN PRAYER TO USHER IN A NEW YEAR

The Igbogbo Community in Ikorodu, Lagos, commenced the new year with a remarkable display of unity and harmony, as they convened an annual inter-religious prayer session to usher in a year of peace, prosperity, and progress.

At the forefront of this celebration was the traditional ruler, Oba Semiudeen Orimadegun Kasali, who addressed the community and shared his vision for a brighter future.

According to Oba Semiudeen Kasali, “As we gather to pray and reflect on the past year, we will also be looking forward to the opportunities and challenges that the new year will bring.” This inter-religious prayer session served as a testament to the community’s commitment to tolerance, resilience, understanding, and cooperation, and it underscored the importance of unity and harmony in the face of diversity.

Oba Semiudeen Kasali, a highly respected and revered traditional ruler, joined other religious leaders in the community to inspire and motivate their constituents to support the government and work towards a common goal of building a better future for themselves, their community, and for generations to come.

In an interview with journalists, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tertiary Education, Adeniran Kasali, who is also a prominent son of the community, expressed his gratitude to God for sparing the lives of community members. He urged the community to come together, leveraging their collective experience, wisdom, and knowledge to navigate the complexities of modern life while preserving the values and traditions that make their community unique.

The event, which was well-attended by community members, including religious leaders, traditional rulers, and other stakeholders, provided a platform for the community to come together and strengthen their bonds with one another.
