International Women’s Day: Iyabosola Eletu, Damilola Sonayon James Celebrate Lagos APC Women, Urge Greater Commitment
The Lagos State Women Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Iyabosola Eletu, and the State Assistant Women Leader, Damilola Sonayon James, have congratulated women of the party across the state on the occasion of International Women’s Day, commending their dedication to the growth of the party and development of Lagos State.
In a jointly signed message issued to mark the celebration, the two party leaders described women in the All Progressives Congress in Lagos as the backbone of the party’s progress and a driving force behind its numerous successes over the years.
They noted that women have continued to demonstrate strength, resilience and commitment in mobilising support for the party and promoting democratic participation across communities in Lagos.
According to them, the contributions and sacrifices of APC women have been instrumental in strengthening the party’s structures and sustaining its leadership position in the state.
Eletu and Sonayon James further encouraged women in the party to remain steadfast and united as the political landscape gradually moves toward another election cycle, urging them to continue to work tirelessly to advance the Renewed Hope Agenda.
They explained that the theme of this year’s celebration, “Give to Gain,” underscores the importance of service, sacrifice and collective effort in building strong institutions and prosperous communities.
The party leaders added that women across Lagos have consistently embodied this spirit by dedicating their time, energy and leadership to mobilising communities, strengthening democratic processes and ensuring the APC remains vibrant and inclusive.
They expressed optimism that with sustained unity, dedication and purposeful engagement by women within the party, the APC would continue to achieve greater milestones and expand opportunities for women and future generations.
Eletu and Sonayon James also prayed for continued success and strength for APC women, describing them as the pride of the party and key contributors to its enduring success in Lagos State.
