MUSWEN Congratulates Alidu Shutti on Appointment as Acting Secretary of NAHCON, Commends NAHCON Chairman for Strategic Decision
The Muslim Ummah of South West Nigeria (MUSWEN), the umbrella body representing all Muslim communities, councils, and organizations across the six states of the South West—Ekiti, Lagos, Ogun, Ondo, Osun, and Oyo—has extended heartfelt congratulations to Alhaji Alidu Shutti on his appointment as the Acting Secretary of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON).
In a statement signed by the President of MUSWEN and Deputy President-General (South) of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (NSCIA), Alhaji Rasaki Oladejo, FCS, MUSWEN expressed its optimism about the positive impact of Shutti’s vast experience in Hajj operations on his new role.
“Please bring your experience in running Hajj operations, which you have garnered and deployed over the years, to manifestly reflect in this new position of responsibility for the benefit of the entire Muslim Ummah in Nigeria. We pray Allah (swt) guides you to succeed in this new task,” the statement read.
MUSWEN also lauded the Chairman/CEO of NAHCON, Prof. Abdullah Usman Saleh, for his strategic decision in appointing an experienced and capable individual from within the system. The organization praised the chairman’s approach of prioritizing familiarity with NAHCON’s culture and operations over external recruitment, which would have required extensive induction and training.
“The Chairman of NAHCON is highly commended for this well-thought-out decision of looking inwards to identify an experienced hand, versatile in NAHCON’s operations. Alhamdulillah for your painstaking thoroughness, Mr. Chairman. May Allah (swt) continue to guide your thoughts and your ways,” Alhaji Oladejo remarked.
MUSWEN further expressed its readiness to collaborate with NAHCON in facilitating seamless Hajj operations for Muslim pilgrims in the South West and across Nigeria.
“May Almighty Allah continue to help the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria as you make efforts toward making Hajj easier for Nigerians. We also look forward to fostering a good partnership with you in the South West as you steer the ship of blissful Hajj for our teeming Muslim brothers and sisters in Nigeria,” the statement concluded.
