Omotorisha and Fasinro Suenu Royal Families Unite for Second Reunion in Isale Eko

It was an atmosphere of fun and glamour as the royal families of Omotorisha and Fasinro Suenu converged for their second reunion, aimed at fostering stronger ties and charting a new way forward.

The event, which attracted a large turnout of family members from both sides, was held at the Chief Suenu Palace on Idumoyinbo Street, off Adeniji-Adele Street, in the Isale Eko area of Lagos State.

Addressing the gathering, the Convener of the forum and the Onisabe of Igbobi-Sabe, HRM Oba Owolabi Adeniyi, emphasized the importance of the reunion in mending long-standing misunderstandings and encouraging unity within the families.

According to him, the event also served to ensure that both the young and old in the families gained a deeper understanding of their shared history, with a commitment to preserving it for future generations. He noted that the benefits of the reunion had been remarkable.

In his welcome address, Mr. Jimoh Wahab Suenu highlighted how the reunion had strengthened love and brought prosperity to both families.

Mr. Isa Suenu, speaking on behalf of Jimoh Wahab Suenu, affirmed that the bond between the two families, rooted in their shared lineage through Olorifayemi, would remain unbroken.

He further explained that the reunion was made possible by the relentless efforts of Oba Owolabi Adeniyi, who rediscovered the history connecting the two royal lineages.

The first edition of the reunion was held in the Otto area of Lagos State in December 2023.
