Community Urges Mrs Sanwo-Olu, Hon Dolapo Badru To Assist In Upgrading Itafaji Health Center

The Chairman of the Itafaji Health center, Alhaji Al-asau Wale Ajose has called on both the wife of Lagos State Governor, Mrs Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu and the representative of Lagos Island constituency 1 at the National Assembly, Dr Dolapo Badru to assist in upgrading the health center to full and standard hospital.
Reacting to the recent visit by the first lady to the second round of the Medical Outreach tagged, “Alafia Eko” where she showed much appreciation on the baby brought to the event by the Itafaji Health workers, Alhaji Ajose said the upgrading of the center will afford residents within and around the community free and direct access to health services.
According to him, “despite being ordinary health center, people from Tinubu, Obadina and other adjacent areas patronize the place for immediate medical attention whenever in need”.
Alhaji Ajose who is also the CEO of iparty enterprises revealed, “With the performance of the the health workers that brought the baby for the First lady to see and admired much, I’ve pledged to be giving cash token to them starting from next month for three months to encourage them to do more”.
“Apart from that day presentation, which made us proud, residents who had visited the health center always give good comments on them (Mrs Kareem Shakirat Fehintola, Alade Kuburat Abimbola) for their diligent and effective services to patients both children and adults”, he added.
He also appealed to Dr Dolapo Badru, the Lagos Island Federal House of Representatives to extend his search light to the center in providing essential drugs for the community.
“Dr Badru is trying very well for Lagos Island people but we are still appealing for more on health sector, especially on availability of essential drugs to patients”, he appealed.
Ajose also commended the Permanent Secretary, Lagos State Health District 4, Dr Abimbola Bowale for prompt response to the center whenever in need.
