Photo News: Dabiri-Erewa Receives British High Commissioner, ECOWAS Rep at NiDCOM HQ
Chairman/CEO, Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, (NiDCOM), Hon. Dr. Abike Dabiri-Erewa, on Tuesday received Dr Richard Montgomery CMG, British High Commissioner to Nigeria and the UK Permanent Representative to the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) on a courtesy visit to NiDCOM Headquarters.
Discussions centred on setting up a Diaspora Dialogue amongst other things. NiDCOM boss therefore calls for the participation of commonwealth countries during the National Diaspora Day.
Dabiri-Erewa said ” we can’t stop migration, but as a government, we will create an enabling environment”
According to her, Nigeria and the UK government should have an MOU on how people migrate.
The courtesy visit reflects “our enduring ties and the shared values that unite us” she added.
