Agbado Oke-Odo Council To Reward Outstanding GCE Students, As Famuyiwa Distributes Free GCE Forms To 300 Indigent Students
300 Students across the seven wards of the Agbado-Okeodo Local council Development Area, received free forms for the General Certificate Examination (GCE) from the Executive Chairman, Engr. David Oladapo Famuyiwa, at the Council Secretariat on Tuesday, the 13th of August, 2024.
Addressing the beneficiaries, at the presentation of the free GCE forms, the council chairman, who was represented by the Vice Chairman, Alhaja Aminat Moromoke Ajoke Obe, stated that the motive behind the presentation is to lay a solid foundation, for the youth in Agbado-Okeodo Local Council Development Area. “You cannot build anything without a solid foundation, we are laying the foundation.” She said.
Obe noted the importance of education and the need for students to focus on their studies and shun every act of distraction, adding that the Council is set to reward 3 outstanding students in the GCE examination. She further admonished the students on the significance of the choices they make, while presenting the symbolic GCE forms to beneficiaries.
Other officials present at the event include; The Supervisor For Education, Hon. Olushola Poppola, Councillor representing Ward D, Hon Fisayo Fadipe, The Council Manager, Shogbanmu Olugbenga And The Head Of Education And Library Studies department, Mrs Ogunjobi Bolanle.
