Upcoming Hip Hop Artiste, Adefioye Funmi calls for Govt support, deliberate investment in Entertainment Industry to curb japa syndrome

Government at all levels and successful Nigerian Artistes have been charged to ensure a deliberate and meaningful investment in the Entertainment and Music industry in order to curb the rate at which people live the shores of the country.

Upcoming Afro-pop Artiste, Adefioye Adetoke Funmi who gave this charge in an interview said abundant raw talents could change the fortunes of the nation if well harnessed.

She expressed worry that the country continue to lose trained materials in all sectors to the developed countries because of lack of conducive environment and other challenges back home.

Adefioye Funmi whose stage name is “fumilala” said she believes collaboration between government and successful Nigerian Artistes could change the narrative.

According to her, the establishment of the Ministry of Music and Entertainment Hub would give upcoming Artistes and Actors still struggling to survive the lieu way to put their works together and showcase their worth.

She was of the view that this will provides platform for organizing successful concerts in which Artistes could gain expected popularity and monetary rewards.

The young talented Afro pop Artiste who began a professional career five years ago explained that it was not a coincidence but what God had chosen for her to do.

She disclosed that part of her plans is to establish an NGO that will support and nurture young talented Artistes to greater heights.

Funmilala is optimistic that the industry will take the nation by storm if fully funded while appealing to owners of record labels to provide support to the innocent talents.

So far, Adefioye Funmi has released one Album with 9 tracks among; ORE MI, ORI,
LOOK IN MY EYES, AM GOING OUT, RANTI and
BABY ME.
