Lagos NIPR Vice Chair Inducted Fellow Registered Practitioner in Advertising
The Vice Chairman of the Lagos State Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), Samuel Ayetutu has been inducted into the professional grade of Fellow Registered Practitioner of Advertising (frpa) by the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria.
At the Fellowship induction ceremony in Sheraton Lagos Hotel, Ikeja on Friday, Samuel Ayetutu emerged as the 183rd practitioner of Advertising ever inducted into the Fellowship grade of the profession.
Samuel Ayetutu is a Communication Strategist with over 22 years of playing leading roles in conceptualizing and executing several projects in Advertising, Brand
Management and Public Relations cutting across public and private sector orientation.
He also had a stint with the Department of Mass Communication, Lagos State Polytechnic, Ikorodu as a Part-time lecturer teaching Advertising and Public Relations courses.
He is presently a Doctoral Research Student of Babcock University, IIishan-Remo having earlier obtained a Masters Degree in Communication at the Lagos State University, Ojo. He also holds a Prince 2 Certification in Project Management of the Association of Project Management Group (APMG), London United Kingdom.
He was conferred with the fellowship of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) in March 2020 and currently serves as the Vice Chairman of the Lagos Chapter of the Institute.
He became a full member of the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria (ARCON) in 2011 having earlier registered as Associate Member in 2003.
His footprints in the Advertising Industry are evident in his leading role in delivering a wide variety of cutting edge communication projects covering strategy, media
placements, branding, out-of-home advertising and digital marketing.
Samuel Ayetutu is also a believer in volunteerism and has been involved in humanitarian services on the platform of Rotary Club of Omole-Golden under Rotary International District 9110 where he has served in various capacities after his tenure as president in 2006–2007.
He is a Past Assistant Governor of Rotary District 9110 and a communication resource person of Rotary International, having served at the regional level as Assistant Rotary Public Image Co-ordinator (ARPIC) for Rotary International Zone 20A (English Speaking Africa) from 2016-2019.
The Fellowship of the Advertising profession is the highest status of membership of the profession conferred on practitioners who have been registered as full members of the profession and have, in addition, met other criteria as well as impacted significantly the development of the profession.
The criteria include good academic qualification, consistent engagement in the practice of marketing communication for a minimum of fifteen years, involvement in the management of marketing communication campaigns, service to the profession at the level of the ARCON governing council or Industry Sectoral Associations, intellectual or professional expressions, mentorship or endowments among others.
To date, are one hundred and sixty-two number of practitioners who have been conferred with the fellowship.
Samuel Ayetutu is one of the thirty-eight newly inducted fellows, taking the total number of fellows of the Advertising profession in Nigeria to 200.
The conferment of fellowship was performed by the Director General of the Advertising Regulatory Council of Nigeria, Dr. Lekan Fadolapo among other icons, Fellows and critical stakeholders in the Advertising Industry.
