Eid-el-Kabir: Oluremi Tinubu Urges Nigerians to Embrace Unity, Compassion
Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, has extended warm greetings to Muslim faithful across Nigeria and in the diaspora on the occasion of Eid-el-Kabir, urging citizens to embrace peaceful coexistence, compassion, and national unity.
In a goodwill message to commemorate the Islamic celebration, the First Lady described Eid-el-Kabir as a special period for reflection on the enduring values of sacrifice, obedience, faith, and compassion.
She noted that the festival serves as a reminder of the importance of selflessness and total devotion to the will of God.
Mrs. Tinubu also called on Nigerians to live in harmony with one another, stressing that the nation’s strength lies in its unity, mutual respect, and shared commitment to building a peaceful society.
According to her, love, understanding, and peaceful coexistence remain essential ingredients for national development and stability.
The First Lady further urged citizens to remember the vulnerable and less privileged during the celebration by extending acts of kindness and generosity to them.
She said such gestures would help renew hope and bring comfort to many people across the country.
While wishing Muslims a joyous Eid celebration, Mrs. Tinubu also called on Nigerians to continue praying for sustained peace, stability, and prosperity in the country.
“Eid Mubarak,” she said.
