Photo News: Sanwo-Olu, Hamzat, Party Leaders Attend Lagos APC State Congress as Ojelabi Emerges Chairman

Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu (middle), flanked by his deputy, Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, Chief of Staff Tayo Ayinde and other party leaders, during the 2026 Lagos State Congress of the All Progressives Congress held at Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, where Cornelius Ojelabi was returned as chairman of the party’s 37-member state executive committee.

Among dignitaries present at the congress were the Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Mudashiru Obasa; former Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode; former Deputy Governor, Abiodun Ogunleye; and members of the Lagos State Governance Advisory Council, including Tajudeen Olusi, Ganiyu Olanrewaju Solomon, Adeseye Ogunlewe, Anthony Adefuye and Mutiu Are.

Others in attendance included the Chairman of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, Abike Dabiri-Erewa; former member of the House of Representatives, Yakub Balogun; and former Lagos State Commissioner for Rural Development, Lanre Balogun.
