Photo News: UNILAG Muslim Alumni Hosts Symposium on Islamic Finance, Innovation and Leadership

Dignitaries at the inaugural symposium organised by the University of Lagos Muslim Alumni (UMA), Lagos State Chapter, held at the Conference Room of the UNILAG Mosque, Akoka, Lagos.

The first panel session, focused on Islamic Finance & Entrepreneurship: Building a Post-Oil Nigerian Economy, featured Mr. Mufutau Omosola Adelotan, General Manager, NASFAT Agency for Zakat and Sadaqat (NAZAS); Mr. Adeoye Abiodun, Divisional Head, Retail & SME, LOTUS Bank; Olaitan Suleiman of Marble Capital; and Agboola Rasak, MD/CEO, AL-BARAKAH MFB.

President of the University of Lagos Muslim Alumni, Dr. Mumini Alao, emphasised the need for conscious and deliberate efforts by Islamic and microfinance institutions to prioritise Muslims among beneficiaries of their various products.

The theme of the symposium was “Islamic Leadership in a Changing World: Ethics, Innovation and Ummah Development.”
