MICA Empowers Teenagers Through ‘Building the Bridges 1.0’ Initiative

The Movement for Islamic Culture and Awareness (MICA) is pleased to announce the successful completion of its inaugural Teen Haus “ Building the Bridges 1.0” program. This two-day initiative structured as a pilot project, had 25 teenagers aged 15-17 in attendance as planned, and providing them with critical life skills and values essential for adulthood.

The program combined online sessions on confidence building, financial literacy, and emotional resilience with hands-on workshops in public speaking, creative writing, and digital literacy skills. The high attendance rate and overwhelmingly positive feedback from parents and participants underscore the program’s impact. Participants reported notable improvements in self-confidence, faith, and emotional balance.

MICA plans to launch a second stage of the program, where participants will work closely with experienced facilitators and mentors to further develop their skills. This next phase will explore additional possibilities and areas of expansion, tailored to participants’ requests, while ensuring their educational goals remain unaffected.

Parents have praised the initiative, describing it as “an investment in the future generation.” They believe that the program equips young people with the resilience and purpose needed to navigate adulthood successfully.
