Experts Meet in Abuja to Finalize Nigeria’s 2025–2030 National Disaster Risk Reduction Strategy

The World Health Organization (WHO) Field Coordinator for Nigeria, Dr. Latifa Arfaoui; United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Sahel Resilience Project Regional Disaster Risk Reduction Specialist, Mr. Olivier Abayizenga; Director General of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Mrs. Zubaida Umar; and UNDP Consultant, Prof. Andrew Obafemi, participated in a technical expert meeting on the finalization of the National Strategy for Disaster Risk Reduction and Action Plan (2025–2030).

The meeting, convened by NEMA in collaboration with the UNDP, was held in Abuja on Wednesday, 2nd July, 2025.
