Criminality and Banditry: CP Moshood Jimoh Warns Criminals to Vacate Lagos or Face Tough Times

The Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Command, CP Moshood Jimoh, has issued a stern warning to criminals, urging them to vacate the state or face the full wrath of the law.
CP Jimoh, who declared zero tolerance for criminal activities, emphasized that the Lagos State Police Command has implemented strategic measures to eradicate crime and ensure the state remains safe for both residents and visitors.
Speaking at the Ilorin Emirate Descendants Progressive Union (IEDPU), Lagos Island branch annual Ramadan lecture on Sunday, the Commissioner assured attendees that while his officers would intensify efforts against crime, they would not infringe on the rights of law-abiding citizens.
Accompanied by the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in charge of Administration, CP Jimoh reaffirmed the commitment of the command to fighting crime to a standstill and making Lagos safer for all.
In his response, the National President of IEDPU, Alhaji Abdulmumini Ayo Abdulmalik, expressed his appreciation to CP Jimoh for attending the event on short notice.
He assured Lagos residents that the Commissioner’s promises would be upheld, leveraging his vast experience and expertise in crime-fighting.
Alhaji Abdulmalik, a retired Assistant Comptroller General of Immigration (ACG), also urged Ilorin Emirate indigenes—both at home and in the diaspora—to uphold good conduct and maintain the community’s esteemed reputation.
The IEDPU President, who was honored with an award for exemplary leadership, emphasized the need for Ilorin Emirate indigenes to preserve the community’s legacy of integrity and excellence, ensuring these values are passed on to future generations.
Also speaking at the event, the IEDPU Western Zone Chairman, Alhaji Sulaimon Oba Ahmed, commended CP Jimoh, the National President, and their entourage. He pledged the full support of Ilorin indigenes in Lagos to ensure the Commissioner’s tenure is successful.
Offering prayers for CP Jimoh’s success, Alhaji Ahmed expressed confidence that the Commissioner would continue to rise through the ranks and attain the pinnacle of his profession.
