APC South-West Leaders Mobilise Undecided Voters for Tinubu’s 2027 Re-election
The leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the South-West has charged members to intensify mobilisation of undecided voters ahead of the 2027 general elections to ensure a landslide victory for President Bola Tinubu on January 16, 2027.
The leaders said the move was necessary to prevent the low voter turnout recorded in previous elections, stressing that President Tinubu’s achievements deserve another term to consolidate the gains of his ongoing reforms.

This was part of the resolutions reached after hours of deliberations at the APC South-West stakeholders’ forum held in Lagos.
In his welcome address, the Director of Stakeholder Mobilisation of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, South-West Zone, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, said political structures across the zone were united in their support for the President’s re-election in the collective interest of the party.
He said stakeholders were expected to take the message back to their respective constituencies and promote harmonious relationships ahead of the January 16, 2027, election.

According to him, aggrieved members arising from the party’s previous electoral contests should remain hopeful, while those who emerged victorious in various positions should be magnanimous in victory.
Fashola, who commended the early arrival of most participants at the forum, disclosed that the council would soon announce spokespersons for each state and establish stakeholder engagement structures at the local government and ward levels.
The former Lagos State Governor emphasised the need to involve everyone capable of contributing positively to the election, noting that political caucuses alone were not sufficient to guarantee victory.

He said artisans, small business owners and unions were equally crucial to the mobilisation efforts.
Fashola also disclosed plans to visit each state in the zone to engage with existing political structures, resolve outstanding issues and escalate matters to the national leadership where necessary.
On his part, Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu said there was no going back on the massive mobilisation drive to ensure President Tinubu completes his eight-year tenure, describing it as a collective responsibility of the South-West.
He urged residents of the zone to support the President in appreciation of the infrastructural development and government policies that had contributed to the socio-economic development of the region.

Former Ondo State Governor Olusegun Mimiko affirmed that the Yoruba people were satisfied with President Tinubu’s performance so far, while acknowledging that existing challenges would be addressed towards a brighter future for the country.
Mimiko identified the resolution of the prolonged ASUU strike and the democratisation of access to tertiary education as some of the reasons the region was celebrating the President’s achievements.
He appealed to party members to set aside their grievances across Yorubaland in the interest of the President’s re-election, adding that the pursuit of state police under Tinubu demonstrated courage in tackling insecurity.
Earlier, former Ekiti State Governor Otunba Niyi Adebayo called for unity and collective efforts towards the party’s victory in the next general elections, assuring members that their contributions would be duly recognised.

The Secretary of Stakeholder Mobilisation of the APC Presidential Campaign Council, South-West Zone, Senator Fatai Buhari, said the task ahead would become easier if all members worked together.
The Secretary of the Governance Advisory Council, Alhaji Mutiu Are, expressed hope for the speedy implementation of the resolutions reached at the stakeholders’ meeting.
Ten delegates from each of the six South-West states, namely Lagos, Ogun, Oyo, Osun, Ekiti and Ondo, attended the forum.
