Eti-Osa Council Chairman, Dr. Adeola Alimot Adetoro, presents empowerment cheques to beneficiaries of the N50 million grant during the council’s first anniversary celebration at the council secretariat on Wednesday, September 23, 2026.

The Eti-Osa Local Government has marked the first anniversary of the Adeola Adetoro administration with a N50 million empowerment grant for traders, artisans, women, youths and vulnerable residents.

The council also highlighted achievements in healthcare, roads, education and community development, while beneficiaries pledged to use the funds to expand their businesses and create jobs.

According to her, the administration assumed office with the conviction that leadership goes beyond occupying public office to touching lives, engaging communities, addressing challenges, creating opportunities and building a better future for the people.

She described the N50 million grant as an investment in the people rather than charity, saying it was designed to help beneficiaries expand their businesses, support their families and contribute to the economic growth of Eti-Osa.
