Apapa-Iganmu LCDA Hails Massive Turnout at Olugbani Summer Coaching 2.0

The Executive Chairman of Apapa-Iganmu Local Council Development Area (LCDA), Hon. Olawale Saliu Jimoh, has commended the massive turnout of pupils and students for the just concluded Olugbani Summer Coaching Season 2.0 organised by the council.
Jimoh said the impressive participation demonstrated the value parents and guardians in Apapa-Iganmu place on the education of their wards as future leaders of the country.

The council chairman, who gave the commendation while reacting to the successful completion of the one month exercise, also praised the teachers and other facilitators who sacrificed their time to ensure rigorous and productive engagement with the students.
According to him, the council will not renege on its commitment to ensuring that no child is left behind in accessing quality and free education at the primary level across the area.

Jimoh further disclosed that more than 8,000 pupils and students who participated in the free summer coaching programme held at Metropolitan Nursery and Primary School, Ire Akari Nursery and Primary School, and Orile Nursery and Primary School were provided with free exercise books and other learning materials.
He, however, urged parents to continue monitoring the academic and extracurricular activities of their wards to ensure that they remain committed to acquiring sound education and are not lured into social vices.

The council boss also reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to providing financial and logistical support to schools within Apapa-Iganmu to enable them function optimally and deliver on the administration’s free education mandate.
