GBAJA/FKL BASE Elects New Executive Council in Peaceful, Credible Poll
The GBAJA/FKL BASE has successfully elected a new Executive Council following the conduct of its 2026 election, which was described as peaceful, transparent, free and fair.
The election, held on Saturday, July 11, 2026, was conducted under the supervision of the Electoral Committee in line with the constitution and electoral guidelines of the association. The exercise was also independently observed by Alhaji M.K. Yusuf and Mr. Awilla Banigo, who monitored the entire process from commencement to the declaration of results.

The Electoral Committee stated that the election was guided by the principles of credibility, impartiality, accountability and due process, noting that members participated actively in a calm and orderly atmosphere.
According to the committee, the exercise featured accreditation, screening, voting, vote counting and the declaration of results, with members freely exercising their voting rights throughout the process.
At the conclusion of the election, ten Executive Council members were elected into various offices to steer the affairs of GBAJA/FKL BASE.
The committee expressed appreciation to all aspirants, members, stakeholders and election observers for their cooperation, discipline and commitment, which contributed to the successful conduct of the exercise.
It also congratulated the newly elected Executive Council and urged the members to provide purposeful leadership anchored on integrity, transparency, accountability and selfless service while remaining committed to the associationโs motto, โFรบn รวนfร ร nรญ Gbogbo Waโ (For the Benefit of Us All).
The committee further commended all contestants for demonstrating sportsmanship and appealed to members to rally behind the new leadership in the interest of unity, progress and the continued growth of GBAJA/FKL BASE.
