Oriade Council Chairman Endorses Hon. Ramotalai Akinlola-Hassan for Amuwo-Odofin Federal Seat

The Executive Chairman of Oriade LCDA, Hon. Rasaq Akorede Olojede, has declared Hon. Ramotalai Olanrewaju Akinlola-Hassan as the most popular and best candidate to represent Amuwo-Odofin Federal Constituency at the National Assembly.

He made this known during the official declaration of Hon. Ramotalai’s intention to contest for the federal seat, where he described her as a trusted leader with a proven track record.

“We are here to support our mother, leader, sister, and friend, Hon. Ramotalai Olanrewaju Akinlola-Hassan, who has consistently represented us well,” he said. “She served successfully as Chairman of Oriade LCDA and as a former member of the Lagos State House of Assembly. Her performance speaks for itself, and she is not a stranger to the people of Oriade and Amuwo-Odofin.”

Hon. Olojede emphasised that her move to the federal level is a natural progression, given her experience and achievements in public service.

“We have tried several candidates since 2015, yet we have not had the representation we truly deserve. We need someone at the federal level who will fight for our interests, just as representatives across the country do for their constituencies. That is why we are supporting our own—someone who understands our needs and will stand up for our rights,” he added.

He further stressed the importance of fielding a widely accepted candidate ahead of the next general elections.

“The upcoming election requires a popular and credible candidate. From Ward A to Ward J, Hon. Ramotalai is well known and widely accepted. Her popularity will make a significant difference. We need someone we know—someone with a proven capacity to deliver and who will stand firmly for the people and the party,” he said.

Speaking at the event, Hon. Ramotalai Akinlola-Hassan expressed appreciation for the overwhelming support from her constituents.

“I am deeply grateful for the turnout and the support shown towards my ambition to represent the good people of Amuwo-Odofin at the federal level,” she said. “I am for the people, and the people are for me. Without them, there is no me.”

She added that her decision to contest is driven by a desire to bring meaningful development to the constituency.

“My mission is to deliver the dividends of democracy and ensure that our people feel the impact of effective representation,” she stated.
