Photo News: Lagos Honours Outstanding Farmers at World Food Day Grand Finale in Ikeja
Dignitaries at the Grand Finale of this year’s World Food Day Celebration held at the Police College, Ikeja.
Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, was represented at the event by the Secretary to the State Government, Mrs. Bimbola Saliu-Hundeyin. The State Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Systems, Ms. Abisola Olusanya, led top officials of the ministry, including the Special Adviser to the Governor on Agriculture, Dr. Oluwarotimi Fashola, and the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry, Mr. Emmanuel Audu.
Also present were the State Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mr. Gbenga Omotoso; Chairman, Lagos State House of Assembly Committee on Agriculture, Hon. Emmanuel Olotu; and a member of the Board of Directors of the British American Tobacco Nigeria Foundation, Mr. Yarub Al-Bharani.
The highlight of the event was the presentation of a truck to the winner of the Most Beautiful Farmer in Lagos, Oluwaseun Evelyn Areo. Awards were also presented to Farm Junction as Best Agro Processor, Erikprodo Poultry Association as Best Farm Estate, Ajara Farm Settlement as Best Farm Settlement, Yaba LCDA as Best LCDA in Agriculture, and Daddy Louis Tomato Grower Association as Best Crop Champion.
