Lagos APC Dismisses ADC’s One-Term Claim Against Tinubu as ‘Laughable Prophecy’

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has described as laughable the African Democratic Congress’ (ADC) claim that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will only serve one term in office.

In a statement signed by its spokesman, Hon. Seye Oladejo, the party said the ADC’s prediction amounted to “idle talk from a party that has never won elections at the national level and is unlikely to do so in the foreseeable future.”

Oladejo argued that President Tinubu has only just begun the task of rebuilding the country through bold and people-oriented policies that past leaders avoided. He maintained that Tinubu’s political pedigree, sacrifice for democracy, and record of service have placed him far ahead of opposition parties.

“Our people say, ‘The hen’s cackle does not stop the sunrise.’ No amount of idle chatter from the ADC can derail the historic mandate and steady leadership of President Tinubu,” the statement read.

Citing APC’s sweeping victories in recent by-elections across the country, the spokesman said the results were a clear vote of confidence in the Tinubu administration. According to him, the ADC has no political roots or direction and would fare better “in a circus arena than on the political rostrum.”

Oladejo further mocked the opposition party as an “Association of Serial Defectors” that is already on political life support. He urged Nigerians to ignore what he called the distractions of political lightweights and remain committed to supporting the president’s administration.

“President Tinubu is not just running a government — he is consolidating a legacy that generations will reckon with,” Oladejo concluded.
