Dunamis Events, an event planning and styling company established in 2000, recently celebrated its 25th anniversary with a documentary screening in Lagos, highlighting the Dunamis story and the remarkable journey of its founder.

The event, held at a cinema in Lagos, attracted event professionals, premium clients, and distinguished personalities from across the country.

Dunamis @25 is not just a milestone; it represents 25 years of relentless building, resilience in the face of challenges, and the courage to persevere when giving up seemed easier. It is a celebration of tears turned into testimonies, a declaration of grace, grit, and God’s faithfulness.

About the CEO

Olufunbi Akinyosoye, the visionary founder and CEO of Dunamis Events, is a seasoned professional with over 24 years of experience in the events industry. She holds a degree in Marine Biology from the University of Lagos and further refined her entrepreneurial skills at the Enterprise Development Centre (EDC) of Lagos Business School and the Park Royal Finishing School in the UK.

Her career reflects a deep commitment to excellence, enriched by extensive local and international training in Project Management, Customer Service, and Human Relations. She has also participated in prestigious platforms such as the IMEX Conference in Las Vegas, the Jeff Leatham Floral Expo, Nebo Decor Russia Floral Diploma in Accra, and the Lagos Business School’s Mastering Event Management Program, among others.

Olufunbi’s impact extends beyond her company. Through her training school, she has equipped over 300 entrepreneurs with industry knowledge and continues to mentor emerging talents. Her outstanding contributions have earned her multiple awards, including ELOY Event Company of the Year, Honours Roll of Passion & Poise, and Entrepreneur Amazon of the Year.

Beyond her professional pursuits, Olufunbi is passionate about humanitarian work. She has helped drive initiatives such as the Ijora-Badiya Feed 5,000 Project with Restructure Africa and serves on the Founding Advisory Board of the Feed a Mouth Initiative NGO.

She is also a founding member of the Association of Professional Party Planners & Event Managers of Nigeria (APPOEMN), where she has served as Vice President and most recently as National President, leaving an indelible mark on the industry.

A proud daughter of God, Olufunbi gracefully balances her thriving career, humanitarian service, and family life, standing as a role model to many.
