Lagos APC Intensifies Mobilization for INEC Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) Exercise
The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State has launched a robust mobilization campaign to encourage eligible residents across the state to participate actively in the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
In line with the party’s commitment to deepening democratic participation and consolidating its grassroots strength, the Lagos APC has directed all ward and local government leaders to immediately begin community-level mobilization to ensure that every eligible voter—especially first-time registrants, youths, and those who have relocated—is captured in the current voter registration exercise.
According to the State Publicity Secretary of the APC, the mobilization strategy involves:
• Intensive Grassroots Sensitization: Ward chairmen and LGA party structures have been activated to conduct door-to-door campaigns and organize community sensitization sessions.
• Digital Engagement: The party has launched a targeted digital campaign to reach young and tech-savvy voters through social media platforms and digital forums.
• Transportation Support: In select LGAs, logistics support is being provided to assist voters—especially the elderly and people in riverine or hard-to-reach areas—to access designated INEC registration centres.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Elected officials, political appointees, and community leaders are playing a central role in the mobilization drive, reinforcing the importance of voter registration as a civic responsibility and a tool for political empowerment.
The party emphasized that securing a Permanent Voter Card (PVC) is the first step toward sustaining the progress made in Lagos State and ensuring the continuity of good governance.
The Lagos APC therefore calls on all its members, supporters, and the general public to take advantage of the CVR window and get registered.
“This is not just a party affair—it is about the future of our democracy. Every vote counts, and every voice matters. We must ensure that all our people are empowered to participate fully in the democratic process,” the statement concluded.
