2027 Coalition Driven by Selfish Agenda, Not National Interest — Ex-Kwara APC Chairman Bolarinwa

The former Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kwara State, Hon. Bashir Omolaja Bolarinwa, has dismissed the proposed 2027 coalition against President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the APC as a selfish move by those who lost in the 2023 general elections.

Speaking at a political gathering in Ilorin, Bolarinwa warned that the coalition was not inspired by any genuine desire to improve Nigeria, but rather by personal ambitions of political actors determined to seize power at all costs.

“These same politicians pushing for a coalition have had their turn in power and failed to make meaningful impact,” he said, questioning their credibility and motives.

Bolarinwa applauded the APC National Leadership, the National Assembly Caucus, and Progressive Governors for endorsing President Tinubu as the party’s sole presidential candidate for the 2027 elections. He described the move as a step in the right direction, one that would ensure party unity and electoral victory.

The APC chieftain also called on appointees of the President across Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) to double down on their efforts and deliver better service to the people, noting that some of the government’s policies are already yielding positive results.

He urged party members nationwide to remain committed, ambitious, and fully mobilized ahead of the 2027 elections in order to defeat the opposition and sustain the gains of the Tinubu-led administration.
